Samsung Galaxy 3 a mid range Android phone

After launching some of the high end smart phones like Galaxy S, Samsung guys thought about the middle class people who can not afford such expensive phones but they do have obsession for Android devices. Keeping this in mind, they launched two new devices in the market Galaxy 5, which is towards the lower side and Galaxy 3 which falls somewhere in the middle ground. According to www.bestandroidphone.info, Galaxy 3 is not AMOLED but still can be catoegorised under Android phones but of middle range.

Design of Samsung Galaxy 3:
After considering the design of their previous launch and learning from the experience, Samsung guys rightly concluded that the two out of four Android buttons are actually not required and is waste of space on the device. Learning this fact they decided to slightly change the design in the prototype unit and disposed of the search keys and the home key from the basic prototype. Instead of this, a universal search can be performed using the contact menu button itself by long pressing it and by clicking the center trapezoid key takes you to the main home page. Now in the modified design all are regular physical buttons but the four capacitive buttons are missing that were there in the initial version of Samsung Galaxy 3. even the D-pad has been replaced by the single home button key and all these omissions of buttons has greatly helped in lowering down the price of the product without missing out on anything important. The black plastic design has a glossy finish and is curvaceous. The plastic gives the phones a durable touch and the device does not have the slippery feel which makes it comfortable to hold.

Display of the product:
Samsung Galaxy 3 has capacitive screen of 3.2 inches. But instead of being AMOLED, the screen is TFT LCD which has again helped in reducing the cost of the phone. The display is bright enough to be visible in the sunlight and can be set to maximum brightness.

Tab User Interface of the device:
Galaxy 3 comes with a TouchWiz User Interface which is an addition feature along with Android OS in this device that has been provided by Samsung and is just like Samsung smart phones that are based on Google Operating System.

Pros and Cons of Samsung Galaxy 3:
One of the best features of Galaxy 3 is its UI which is quite smooth to use. The phone comes with Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G support
It has some of the excellent music playback 7 features
Galaxy 3 supports Google mobile services. It is equipped with DivX and XviD support.

Some of the drawbacks of the product are:
Samsung Galaxy 3 does not have great camera, it can be rated as an average one.

bestandroidphone.info rates the phone 3 out of 10 stating “If you are looking for great looking stylish phone, Samsung Galaxy 3 is not the ideal choice for you.”
